If you decide or have decided to study at one of the colleges/universities in Regensburg, Passau, Deggendorf or Landshut and would like to apply for BAföG (educational support), you can contact us, the Office for Educational Support of the Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz.

The Office for Educational Support is responsible for the following educational institutions:

Submitting documents

Please upload documents directly to your case via BAföG Digital at www.bafoeg-digital.de. If necessary, you can send documents by post to the Amt für Ausbildungsförderung.

Applying with BAföG Digital has many advantages. The application can be interrupted at any time and continued later, as your data is saved in a personal account. If you need personal advice, our office staff will be happy to help you. You will find the contact persons responsible for you under Information and advice by telephone.

You can send important inquiries to the e-mail addresses below. Please always include your full name (first name, surname), the university at which you are studying and your funding number (if you already have one) in all inquiries.

Please avoid sending documents by e-mail. It is not guaranteed that we will receive all e-mails. E-mails with attachments larger than 5 MB cannot be delivered. Not all attachments can be opened. The risk of important documents not being received via this communication channel is too great. Please also bear data protection in mind when communicating by e-mail.

Information and advice by telephone

The team at the BAföG Info Point in Regensburg, the caseworkers at all locations (Regensburg, Passau, Deggendorf and Landshut) and the group leaders can be reached by telephone during the specified office hours and will be happy to answer your questions over the phone.

If the employees are at work, calls will also be accepted outside office hours.

If you cannot reach us by telephone, please try again or at another time. You are also welcome to write an e-mail and ask us to call you back.

Personal consultation on site or by telephone - Online appointment booking calendar

You have the option of making an appointment for a personal consultation on site.

In order to avoid waiting times and thus larger gatherings of people in front of the offices and in the corridors, we offer you appointments via calendar. You can choose between telephone and face-to-face appointments.

The advisors and group leaders for the universities in Regensburg have their offices on the campus of the University of Regensburg.

The case workers and group leaders for the TUM Campus Straubing have their offices at the campus of the University of Regensburg.

The case workers and group leaders for the University of Passau have their offices at the campus of the University of Passau.

The case workers and group leaders for the TH Deggendorf have their offices at the campus of the TH Deggendorf or at the campus of the University of Regensburg. Here you can choose between the consultation locations.

The case workers for the Landshut University of Applied Sciences have their offices on the campus of the Landshut University of Applied Sciences or on the campus of the University of Regensburg. The group leaders have their offices on the campus of the University of Regensburg.

Responsibility is based on universities/locations and the first letter of your last name.
