The Mensa at TH Deggendorf at a glance
The Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz offers several main dishes, various side dishes and a wide selection of drinks at lunchtime in its Mensa at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Meatless dishes are also regularly on the menu.
News
From February 17, 2025, the freely accessible Relevo return stations in our canteens and cafeterias will be discontinued. The reason for this is a loss of reusable bowls and cups that were previously scanned as returned. From February 17, 2025, it will only be possible to return them to our employees at the cash desk during the opening hours of the respective canteen or cafeteria. To do this, scan the return QR code placed there, as you did when you issued your items. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Mensa on the Deggendorf Institute of Technology campus is being rebuilt, enlarged and modernised. For this reason, the Mensa is temporarily moving to the Glashaus (ITC 2 building complex), Dieter-Görlitz-Platz 2, 94469 Deggendorf, for the 2024/2025 winter semester.
Meals will be served on two floors: meat-based dishes will be served in the Cafeteria Glashaus on the ground floor and plant-based dishes will be served in the lecture hall above the cafeteria. Location
The Mensa will be temporarily located in the Glashaus (building complex ITC 2), Dieter-Görlitz-Platz 2, 94469 Deggendorf from the winter semester 2024/2025.

Special features
You cannot pay cash at the cash registers in the cafeterias and Mensas. You can use a variety of cashless payment methods, including debit/credit cards or NFC-enabled smartphones. With these payment methods, no prior loading of the Mensa card or student ID is necessary. However, please also place your Mensa card or student ID on the checkout terminals to receive a discounted rate in the Mensa.
Children of students receive until the age of six a free child's plate if the mother or father also eats lunch in the Mensa. By presenting their own student ID, student parents will receive the "Kindermensakarte", which is required to receive the free children's plate.
