Semester ticket Landshut

Since the winter semester 2010/2011, there is a compulsory semester ticket for students at Hochschule Landshut. This is integrated into the student card and is only valid with a valid identity card or passport.

Since the winter semester 2023/2024, important improvements for students at Hochschule Landshut will come into effect: The semester ticket is not only valid with the Landshut public utility company (Stadtwerke Landshut), but in the entire area covered by the Landshuter Verkehrsverbund (LAVV). It entitles the holder to any number of journeys on all city and regional buses in the entire LAVV area, i.e. in the city and district of Landshut. Since the winter semester 2024/2025, students pay 42.00 euros per semester (the equivalent of 7.00 euros per month) as the public transportation portion of the basic contribution ("Grundbeitrag").

Semester ticket and 38-Euro-Ticket for students in Landshut

Students at Hochschule Landshut have the opportunity to subscribe to the Deutschlandticket as a Bavarian discount ticket (38 Euro-Ticket for students). Via the LAVV online store, students receive a fully-fledged digital Deutschlandticket on their smartphone, which entitles them to any number of trips on public transport throughout Germany.

With the price increase of the Deutschlandticket from 01.01.2025 and the Bavarian discount ticket from 29.00 euros to 38.00 euros per month, the difference between the semester ticket and the Deutschlandticket will also increase from January 2025 and thus also the price of the surcharge ticket to 31.00 euros per month.

The online store of the LAVV is activated since 25.09.2023. The link will also be visible on the LAVV website.

The purchase works as follows

  1. You open the online store of the LAVV.
  2. You will be asked to log in with your university login so that you can legitimize yourself as a student of Hochschule Landshut. This legitimation is only required once per semester. You will be redirected to the IDP-Login-site of Hochschule Landshut.
  3. If your identification as a student is successful, you will automatically be redirected to the online store of LAVV. You complete your personal data and place your order. With this you subscribe to the Deutschlandticket according to the tariff conditions of the LAVV.
  4. Afterwards you will receive a payment request by e-mail from the payment service provider "stripe". Please transfer the amount exactly with the given reason for payment to the given account number, so that stripe can assign your payment.
  5. As soon as the amount is credited to the stripe account, the Deutschlandticket will be sent to you immediately by e-mail. You will receive the Deutschlandticket with the e-mail in pdf format and as a wallet file for download.
  6. We wish you a good trip in the LAVV area and all over Germany.
  7. According to the tariff regulations valid everywhere, you can cancel the Bavarian discount ticket until the 10th of the month. This can be done in the online store or in text form by letter or e-mail to LAVV (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The subscription will then end with the current month.
  8. If you do not cancel your subscription, you will receive a payment request from stripe around the 20th of the month for the following month.
  9. As soon as the amount with the given reason for payment has been received and booked on the given account number of stripe, the Deutschlandticket will be sent to you immediately by e-mail. Please take into account that it can take a few days from the transfer to the receipt of the money.
  10. The procedure in numbers 8 and 9 repeats itself monthly until the end of the semester for which you have legitimized yourself.

Important notice:

At LAVV you do not need to download an app for the discount ticket for students.

For the discount ticket for students, you prove your eligibility digitally using the procedure outlined above. You do not need to fill out or submit a form.

Only with the procedure described here is it possible to subscribe to the Bavarian discount ticket for students at Hochschule Landshut.

In the app LAVV.mobil you can subscribe to the Deutschlandticket and buy certain tickets of the LAVV and other associations. Discount tickets, e.g. for students, are not available in the LAVV.mobil app.
