Winning model from the architectural competition by Fink Thurnher Architekten, Bregenz (Austria)

The Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz intends to build a publicly funded residential complex in timber construction. The new housing complex will be built near the city center in the “Zum Stutzwinkel” construction area. The distance to the university is also short: The TUM Campus Straubing is less than two kilometers away.

A total of 85 accommodations will be created. The living structures will be 23 complete single apartments with their own kitchen and bathroom. There will be two barrier-free - and therefore also handicapped accessible – complete single apartments as well as 26 accommodations in 2-person shared flats and 36 accommodations in 4-person shared flats. All rooms will each be equipped with a bed, desk, closet and curtains.

Common rooms:
Depending on the size of the shared sflats, two or four residents share a kitchen with a spacious dining area and a bathroom with WC. In the 4-person shared flats, there is also an additional WC.

Further information:
A laundry lounge with washing machines and dryers is located on the ground floor.
Car parking spaces and a bicycle cellar are available in the residential complex.

Address:
Zeisigstraße 19, 94315 Straubing
